Today I was off to the Pasar, Helping my mum buy some fruit and vegetables this morning. We caught the oplet to the pasar. Things we bought were very cheap when you compare them to Australia. We bought a pineapple for 10,000Rp ($1) and 7 tomatoes for 7,000Rp (70c).
By the way the "oplet" is a public transport vehicle, the size of a minivan seats about 10 people with a massive sound system and very loud music. It is also small so Jeremy and I had to travel with our necks bent the whole way!
